# Announcements

> Compose and publish official posts to your members

Announcements are how you broadcast news to members — shown on their [announcements page](/member-guide/announcements) and, depending on your settings, sent by email, SMS, or WhatsApp too.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Compose">
    Select **New announcement** and write it using the rich-text editor.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Preview your audience">
    Before publishing, preview exactly who will receive it — all members, a specific group, or a membership type.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set an expiry (optional)">
    Give it an expiry date if it should stop showing to members after a certain point.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Publish">
    Save and publish. You can edit or delete it later from the list.
  </Step>
